About Belt Accounting & Tax

We love label makers, color-coded files, and all things organization. Systems and spreadsheets are our friends. And a strategic conversation about your future and your financials is our favorite lunchtime topic. It’s a balanced approach to the big picture things and the ever so important details.

At Belt Accounting & Tax, we’ve designed this “accounting engine” with a focus on access, accuracy and affordability, and of course, saving you time. Whether you are simply seeking a “tax home” or are intrigued about our Flat Rate Small Business Advisory Packages, look to our team as your local partner in accounting and tax.

One thing you will notice about Belt Accounting & Tax is our commitment to the local community. Education, involvement, ongoing partnerships, and relationships are values we are extremely passionate about. You will likely see us out and about at events and programs through the following organizations:

  • Brookfield Chamber of Commerce
  • Delafield Chamber of Commerce
  • Metropolitan Builders Association
  • Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce
  • Waukesha County Business Alliance

Educating Our Team to Better Serve You!

In order to stay informed and educated on current tax laws and accounting practices, our team members are required to receive ongoing training on a wide range of topics. Our team earns a minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) credits each year with the ultimate goal of staying educated on pertinent information and improving our ability to serve you, our client! From the areas of accounting and taxation to business management, administration, and ethics, our team earns continuing professional education credits from the following sources:

  • National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP)
  • Thomas Reuters – Tax Software Training
  • Intuit – QuickBooks Training

Work. Life. Balanced. What does that mean to us? It means that the long hours of tax season are perfectly complemented by the friendships we form with our clients. It means that answering that weekend email is offset by the trust and responsiveness that is built in doing so. It means that we work hard, and then we play hard. That’s what our team is all about. We invite you to get to know more about the Belt Accounting & Tax team, your partners in small business financial success!

Kelli Belt - Owner

Kelli has been in the financial services industry for over 10 years, working in public and private accounting. Missing the excitement of business ownership and working with small businesses, she started Belt Accounting & Tax in 2014. Her primary focus areas include business tax preparation, tax planning, and business and tax advising.

Through community involvement, networking, and teaching Kelli goes beyond the norm by connecting with people, building trust, and educating her clients and prospective clients. Kelli is a person who “gets things done” through teamwork, partnerships, and relationships. With a passion and enthusiasm, she loves meeting new people and helping clients succeed in new ways.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter. Whether it’s a trip to the Wisconsin Dells, skiing during the winter, or being out on the boat in the summer, it’s all about relaxing with friends and family.
